Why

First Nations people have been brutally pushed off their land to make way for logging trucks, and escorted into their sacred men’s forest by police. This is a tentative date for next Gumbaynggirr people's legal action against Forestry in Newry State Forest, a three day hearing starting November 14th.

They have been brutally pushed off their land, a sacred fire been extinguished. The part of Newry we are talking about is sacred men's forest. It should not have been logged! Yet, under police escort, 8 logging trucks are moving in daily, until it was stopped by First Nations People.
