Refugee Rights Action Network members who visit refugees in the Yongah Hill Detention Centre every week have been denied the right to visit during the weekend of the national convergence for refugee rights.

The Serco duty operations manager rang the day before visits were due to take place to tell activists they were not allowed to visit.

This is one more attempt by Serco and DIAC to cut off refugees from their supporters in the community.
