All Refugees Off PNG & Nauru – End Offshore Detention
July 19 this year marks ten years since then Labor Prime Minister Kevin Rudd announced that asylum seekers arriving by boat would be sent offshore to Manus and Nauru and banned from ever settling in Australia. There are around 1200 refugees who spent time in offshore detention now in Australia who remain in limbo as a result, denied permanent visas.
There are also 10,000 more who arrived by boat who are being refused permanent visas due to the Coalition's unfair Fast Track system.
Refugees and asylum seekers have been punished for more than a decade by the criminal policies of discrimination and offshore detention, simply because they were forced to travel here by boat. Join us to demand an end to the torture, to call on the Labor government to let them all stay and to finally end offshore detention.
