Actions were organised to #ProtectOurFutureNotGas on November 28, rejecting the Coalition government's gas-led recovery plan.
The protests were part of a national day of climate action, called by Fridays For Future Online, and supported by climate groups around the country.

The Green Recovery not Gas Recovery rally in Geelong heard from Tony Anderson, Secretary of Geelong Trades Hall Council, Sarah Hathway on behalf of Extinction Rebellion Geelong and Tim Harte from the Deakin Environmental Justice Club.
It marched to Liberal Senator Sarah Henderson’s office followed by Richard Marles’ office local Federal ALP MP and Deputy Labor Leader. Rally organiser Sarah Hathway told the protest that politicians were showing no leadership before asking the crowd of local unionists and climate activists where that leadership and plan for jobs would come from? “From us!” , they responded. The event also featured street performance from the local Red Rebel Brigade and live music.
