Two peace activists, Greg Rolles and Shane Anderson, locked themselves to Lockheed Martin's main gates on August 11, blocking the entrance to the Dandenong research facility in an attempt to disrupt the making of missiles for military drones.

Rolles said: “Lockheed Martin is the sole provider of the Hellfire missiles for military drones. Drones have been responsible for the deaths of at least one thousand innocents and their use is a war crime according to Amnesty International.”

They are also raising awareness of the multi-million dollar research facility being set up between RMIT and the University of Melbourne in Melbourne's CBD. “Lockheed Martin will use the best brains and Australian tax dollars preparing for killing people.” Rolles said.
