It's official! Creation of Israel not part of 'freedom agenda'

"You know, I've heard this theory about everything was just fine until we arrived, and kind of we're going to stir up the hornet's nest theory. It just doesn't hold water, as far as I'm concerned. The terrorists attacked us and killed 3000 of our citizens before we started the freedom agenda in the Middle East." — Emperor George Bush II, August 21.

Part of making his life a hell on Earth

"A list of people the former taxi driver Joseph Terrence Thomas is not allowed to contact under a court order obtained by the Australian Federal Police includes notorious terrorists who are dead or in jail, a court hearing was told yesterday ... A government solicitor, Tom Howe, quipped that where people were dead or incarcerated the non-communication requirement would 'not involve any difficult burden' on Mr Thomas." — Sydney Morning Herald, September 1.

Just a bit

"It makes it a bit farcical and these are serious proceedings." — Federal magistrate Graham Mowbray commenting at the August 31 hearing on Howe's defence of the control order against acquitted terrorism suspect Jack Thomas that prevents him from speaking to Osama bin Laden.
