Why

Join healthcare workers on the steps of parliament, Melbourne, for a candlelit vigil to remember the lives lost to the occupation, and the ongoing deadly attacks on the Palestinian healthcare system.

From 6pm-8pm December 1st, we will stand outside parliament, an expression of solidarity and our collective heartache. We as a collective of healthcare workers demand not only a ceasefire, but an end to the apartheid occupation of Palestine. We demand an end to the attacks on healthcare workers, hospitals, ambulances and civilians. We call for an end to the violence and the humanitarian catastrophe that is unfolding.

All are welcome. If you are a healthcare worker who wears scrubs to work, please wear them to this event as a demonstration of solitary for our colleagues in Palestine. Signs, keffiyehs and LED candles encouraged.

Antisemitism and Islamophobia will not be tolerated. This event is for mourning, and we are for collective liberation of all.

We will be meeting on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. Always was always will be, Aboriginal land.
