Why

Gaza is starving. Israel continues to deny Palestinians access to vital food and medical aid. For six months Gaza has been bombed relentlessly. More than 30,000 Palestinians have been killed and 70,000 wounded. Hospitals, schools, homes, mosques and churches have all been deliberately targeted. Israel continues to defy international calls for a ceasefire and has thumbed its nose at International Court of Justice orders that the apartheid state take immediate action to prevent a genocide. Words from the Australian government are not enough. We need action! We call on the Australian government to break diplomatic, military and trade ties with Israel.

Join us for a march from Forrest Place to Barrack Square (next to the Bell Tower) where we will hear from speakers and break the fast with an Iftar picnic. Please bring a plate to share and pots and pans to make some noise.
