MELBOURNE — With regret, the Aston branch of the Socialist Alliance has announced that Josephine Cox will no longer be standing for the alliance in the seat of Dandenong in the state elections. Aston Socialist Alliance members wish Cox all the best with the health problems that were a factor in her decision to withdraw.

Aston branch members met November 12 and agreed to redeploy resources from the Aston branch to assist with other campaigns being waged, in particular the in the seats of Melbourne and Northcote.
