To recognise the National Day of Action for Gaza in Australia, we at Pilbara for Palestine are hosting a march from the Quarter in Karratha to Walgu Park.
Israel has been illegally occupying Gaza and the rest of Palestine for almost 80 years. We are calling for an end to violence, an end to occupation and for the Palestinian people that remain alive to be granted their land, their agency, their autonomy and their rights to food, freedom, education and water.
The Australian government has finally called for an end to international war crimes from Israel, but we will not rest until the government backs its words with actions and stops supplying weapons to Israel and takes action through sanctions and divestments.
At the Quarter we will rally together and march as a group down to Walgu Park. Our event is kid-friendly and open to everyone.
The Pilbara for Palestine Facebook page has been removed for violating community guidelines (we cannot understand what we have done to breach those guidelines), resulting in us hosting this event from our personal Facebook pages.
