In February this year, the U.N. Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, said “2023 is a year of reckoning. We need disruption to end the destruction.”

This forum will discuss why we need a mass, disruptive movement and how we can build one that has the power to match the urgency of the climate crisis and achieve transformative change.

Speakers:

  • David Pocock - Independent Senator
  • Richard Denniss - Executive Director The Australia Institute
  • Amy Blain - Australian Parents for Climate Action Canberra and Peoples' Climate Assembly
  • Alexa Stuart - 19-year-old climate activist from Rising Tide Newcastle
