In Iraq
the Yanks are back.
Democracy,
I suppose,
is what they're going
to impose.

Democracy,
dictatorship,
do not let your sweet lips slip.

They now tell us that
Operation Enduring Freedom
was a success.
Well I'd hate to see a failure.
Though in one sense,
I suppose, it was a success:
the Americans got the freedom
and the Iraqis did the enduring.
