Why

Vigil for Palestine, this Wednesday 20th August, 5-6pm at Parliament House (Tarndanya).

We remember the brave journalists who have given their lives reporting from the most dangerous parts of Palestine during this genocide, including at least 25 women. Many of them have been deliberately targeted and murdered for their work, along with their families.

Wear black, bring your flags, candles (fake flame only), keffiyehs, and tributes. ‘When the truth is silenced, the silence is a lie’. Mouth tape and blue PRESS jackets also welcomed, along with the usual signage.

Please note that we are a peaceful, feminist movement: no antisemitic/pro-Nazi/anti-Islam/anti-Palestine/hateful/violent rhetoric or content will be tolerated at Women in Black events.
