Why

VIOLENCE AGAINST THE TRANS COMMUNITY MUST END

This past year, we have seen an escalation in both hate speech and physical violence against the trans community. Protections for the trans community from vilification are lacking.

As Trans Day of Remembrance draws near - a day dedicated to commemorating the lives lost due to transphobia - grassroots groups are coordinating a Trans Day of Resistance across multiple cities at the end of November.

Sydney's Trans Day of Resistance rally is at 1pm, November 25, 2023.

We rally behind these principles:

- NO RIGHT TO DISCRIMINATE!
- KEEP QUEER KIDS SAFE AT SCHOOL!
- NO BARRIER TO TRANSITION!
- DECRIMINALISE AND DESTIGMATISE SEX WORK!
- COPS OUT OF COMMUNITY!

We invite and encourage all queer and trans people, their friends, families, allies and accomplices to join us in a rebuke of discrimination and vilification, and take a stand for trans rights, liberation and life.
