Women’s rights in the US are under attack. With the Supreme Court overturning Roe, an estimated 25 US states are expected to pass laws that restrict abortion. Thirteen already have “trigger laws” in place in anticipation of the decision being overturned, many of which involve total abortion bans, including in cases of rape.
This is the culmination of years of campaigning by the American right, targeted at restricting the rights of women. The arch reactionary justices have also indicated that the right to contraception, to same sex marriage and the overturning of laws that forbid same-sex consensual relations are also in their cross hairs!
Join us to protest in solidarity with those fighting back in America, and to say loud and clear - we will oppose right wing religious bigots, we will defend abortion rights, womens rights and all LGBTIQ+ people at every turn wherever and whenever they trample on our rights from the USA to Australia.
