Join us for a candlelight vigil on April 10th at 6:30pm to support Gaza families facing hardship and violence inflicted by the Israeli state. Let’s honour lives lost, hold elected officials accountable, and advocate for a free Palestine. Stand in solidarity and show your support.
This is the last night of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid for the Muslim community. In solidarity, we would like to break the fast in accordance with Ramadan on the night.
Locations in regional NSW:
- Bathurst - Bathurst War Memorial Carillon, 3 Church St
- Wagga Wagga - Fitzmaurice St, Lagoon Bridge (near the amphitheatre)
- Blue Mountains - Lawson Village Greens, 1 New St, Lawson
- Albury-Wodonga - QEII Square, Dean St, Bungambrawartha (Albury).
- Newcastle - Clocktower, 111 Beaumont St, Hamilton
If you are unable to attend please still participate. Light a candle at dusk and post your message of support to the people Gaza on Facebook/Instagram, don’t forget to tag us: @SundaysforPeace_wagga and @central_west_nsw_for_palestine (and if you can also tag your local politicians).
