Poem: Distorted Dreams

Distorted Dreams

I sleep until morning.
I dream through the night.
I think of existence
And the beauty of life.
My dreams are distorted
By what I have seen.
I've read it in books
And saw it on TV.
The destroying of my country
PNG that is threatened by
A company named BHP.
My sleep is restless, knowing
What goes on — the destroying
Of a nation is the destroying of my home.
