Introduction to Marxism class 1 - Understanding society to change it

This is an invitation to the first class of Socialist Alliance's Introduction to Marxism online class series. The classes cover some of the fundamental basics of Marxist theory, which should help you in further study of socialist theory.

There are four classes, and we will do one each week on Mondays at 6pm AEST. Each class runs for about 1.5 hours.

• Class 1: Aug 14, 6pm to 7:30pm AEST
• Class 2: Aug 21, 6pm to 7:30pm AEST
• Class 3: Aug 28, 6pm to 7:30pm AEST
• Class 4: Sep 4, 6pm to 7:30pm AEST

There is some reading to do before each class. Download a copy of Introduction to Marxism and before the first class, please read "Chapter 1 — Understanding society to change it". Don't worry if you can't finish the readings each week, you will still get a lot out of attending the class.
