beyond the darkest hour

that seems to last forever,

the dawn of the glorious revolution

is a yellow balloon

chained by yesterday's ideas.

there are many dawns like honeycomb,

golden hexagonals from within the darkness,

not beyond.

these dawns are magic little changes,

visible only to people who've learned

to count past one
