Why

Green City is a rarely-before-seen documentary about the struggle against developer greed in Gadigal-Sydney in the 1970s.

It features the story about the famous, militant Builders Labourers Federation, Jack Mundey and the 'green bans', which saved swathes of heritage buildings, suburbs and homes from greedy developers and motorways.

Start at 5.30pm at CounterPoint offices in Waterloo, with some snacks and retired Builders Labourers Federation comrades and friends.

Public housing in Glebe, Waterloo, Eveleigh is under threat, so we will hear about the fight to save these communities and the push for unions to initiate a community-led green ban.
