On May 30, an Australia-Venezuela Solidarity Network forum heard from Adam Leeman and Federico Fuentes, two participants in this year's May Day brigade to revolutionary Venezuela.

Leeman and Fuentes detailed the mobilisation of masses of people in communal councils, some new nationalisations and Venezuela's pursuit of an economy based on a "socialist triangle" — social production, social property and social distribution.

According to Fuentes, to achieve the socialist triangle, the Venezuelan government led by President Hugo Chavez is seeking to restructure the entire working week so that workers have paid time to learn to run their workplaces and become more politically educated.
