Why

One year since we started exercising around the block in solidarity during lockdown, please gather with us on Lockerbie Street and march around the block en masse to recommit to solidarity with those still imprisoned.

This friday marks one year since we first exercised around the block in solidarity with the refugees imprisoned inside the concentration camp at 721 Main Street, Kangaroo Point.

We were in lockdown, and we could only leave the house to exercise in pairs. Week by week, the crowds grew, culminating in a snap blockade of the prison and a series of escalating rallies.

Many of them are now free, but some are still locked inside that prison, and others have been transferred out to BITA near the airport.

Their resistance is ongoing and ours must be too.
