Why

Racism has its historical roots in the development of capitalism and is central to the foundation of so-called Australia

From the colonisation, dispossession and genocide of First Nations people to the 1901 White Australia Act.

The development of capitalism in Australia is tied to racial oppression that still continues to have an impact today, like the government's inhumane treatment of refugees and Australia's systemic migrant labour exploitation.

Join us for this discussion hosted by Socialist Alliance on why racial oppression is inherently linked to the capitalist system, and how we can fight for a better society free of racial oppression.
