Stark — The hilarious small screen version of Ben Elton's novel about big business greed, corruption and environmental skulduggery, combated by a band of feral vigilante activists. This three-part mini-series begins screening on ABC TV, Saturday, March 4, 10pm.

Highlights of the 1995 Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade — One hour of "edited" highlights of the previous night's march through Sydney's Oxford Street. Heading the commentary team will be Julian Clary. ABC TV, Sunday, March 5, 8.30pm.

Vanessa Redgrave — With a stage and screen career that has spanned four decades, and a passionate and public espousal of left politics, Vanessa Redgrave is the fascinating subject of this program. SBS, Monday, March 6, 8.30pm.

Supercities — A travel series featuring the "world's greatest cities". Tonight's episode focuses on Johannesburg. SBS, Tuesday, March 7, 7.30pm.

Ripples of Change — To mark International Women's Day, SBS presents a program which looks at the Japanese women's movement. Director Nanako Kurihara tracks down activists from the '60s and '70s, and interviews Japanese feminists active today. SBS, Wednesday, March 8, 8.30pm.

Movie: The Two Women (1992) — A prostitute raped by a politician finds that her job justifies rape in the eyes of the law. As she begins her fight for justice, she finds unlikely support and friendship from the wife of the man who raped her. From Turkey. SBS, Wednesday, March 8, 9.30pm.
