Twenty-five detained refugees were freed from Kangaroo Point and Brisbane Immigration Transit Acommodation on March 1. That afternoon, people gathered outside the prison hotel to call for the remaining people to be released.

However, those people who were released are on temporary visas and while they are allowed to work, many will find it hard to find it.

In this video Frederika Steen (Refugee Action Collective Brisbane), Ian Rintoul (Refugee Action Coalition Sydney) and Alex Bainbridge (Green Left and Socialist Alliance) speak about the latest developments.
