This is the documentary tale of miners battling deadly working conditions, women fighting Australia's biggest company, activists jailed for resisting the Vietnam draft, and today's movement to stop coal seam gas.

From strikes to community rallies, from work-ins to parliament occupation, it features activist participants from Wollongong's unemployed unions, communists forced to set up an underground organisation, the battle against 'Pig Iron Bob', and struggles for Aboriginal justice in the Illawarra.

Mad Fucking Witches flashmob - International Women's Day

As misogyny in public life just keeps manifesting itself - from immigration minister Peter Dutton's "mad fucking witch" text to rape advocates planning to gather in public, these Mad Fucking Witches are planning a set of flashmobs in Perth in the lead-up to International Women's Day (March 8) to publicise conditions faced by women assaulted in immigration detention, to call the minister to account, and to demand justice for asylum-seekers and refugees in the black sites for which Australia is responsible.

Koorie Night Market is an Aboriginal festival celebrating and promoting Koorie arts, culture and identity.
A fantastic evening with performances by Liz Cavanagh’s Jazz Quartet, Jayden Lylist, Allana Atkison, and traditional Dancers and Didge Players. There will also be delicious and unique, contemporary Indigenous cuisine, basket weaving, dance and didge workshops and of course, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Stallholders selling a diverse range of handmade quality products.
