Thousands of people joined the Bob Brown Foundation’s nation-wide “March for Forests”, aiming to ramp up pressure on Labor to stop logging scarce native forests.

The Stop Adani Convoy WA, a part of the Stop Adani Convoy initiated by the Bob Brown Foundation through the eastern states, has now been welcomed at 10 towns across the eastern seaboard.

The Stop Adani Convoy, organised by the Bob Brown Foundation, has been holding protest rallies along Australia’s eastern coast as it makes its way to the site of Adani’s proposed coalmine in the Galilee Basin, Queensland.

Vigil protests were held on May 25, in Hobart and Melbourne, to mark 100 days of peaceful occupation of the wildlife-rich forests of Tasmania’s Tarkine. The vigil, organised by the Bob Brown Foundation and Save the Tarkine, urged members of the Legislative Council to reject the Hodgman government's proposed destructive forests legislation and to provide National Park protection for the Tarkine.
