While they wait the group sets about making a more welcoming bus stop -- an undertaking that echoes Cuban government calls for grassroots efforts in community improvement.

World Refugee Day rally

Gather to stand in solidarity with refugees all over the world and to oppose mandatory detention of refugees and the "Malaysian solution".

MORE INFO: June 20, 2011 is the 10th official World Refugee Day. Gather at Wesley and proceed to Stirling Gardens where we will have live music, guest speakers from refugee backgrounds and poetry readings from a number of established poets from the Perth community.

Please bring a picnic lunch and any spare keys which will be used to assemble a sculpture on the day.
