Activists push for justice for Mr Ward at parliamentary hearing

Protest action on Wednesday 22nd September 2010 at 10am, the Deaths in Custody Watch Committee and Ms Daisy Ward appeared before the Parliamentary Committee Hearing on the Transportation of Detained Persons Inquiry.

A protest action was held outside the Hearing (18- 32 parliament Place, West Perth) calling on the government to

  1. Return the sole responsibility for the management and delivery of all custodial transport to the Department of Corrective Services,
  2. Immediately terminate the contract between the Department of Corrective Services and G4S for the transportation of detained persons and
  3. End to the privatisation of prisons and custodial services.
