"The Women Who Were Never There" is a powerful dramatisation of the first attempt to get employment for women at the Australian Steel and Ironworks plant in Port Kembla, New South Wales. It involved dramatic and creative actions that shook the steelworks management and laid the groundwork for a momentous campaign.
NTEU Curtin Branch invites you to the Perth premiere of this film, introduced by Meredith Hammatt, UnionsWA, and Bobby Oliver, NTEU, and Robynne Murphy, Jobs for Women Producers Group.
Entry is $10, with $5 concessions and $20 for supporters.
