We'd like to shed some light on the history of women's struggles, discuss the issues that women still face today and build your motivation for the kick-arse activism that will take place on International Women's Day (IWD), the following Tuesday!
From academic education to lived experience, the speakers at this one-day conference aim to educate others on women's struggles and share ideas on how to fight for our rights.
The day will include (subject to change):
- the history of IWD (speech)
- women and poverty (panel)
- gender analysis (workshop)
- perceptions of gender (panel)
- international feminism
- martial arts workshop

What to bring:
Got some women's clothes or toiletries to donate? We'll have a stall or two of free necessary items for any women in need to take for free. Any leftover clothes, non-perishable food etc. will be sent to charity shops.
Bring your workout gear! There will be a FREE basic martial arts class to help us wind down from the long day and warm up for the partying.
As well as... your ideas! We will wrap up the day with some sharing of thoughts and feedback.
