Why

Australia’s treatment of refugees remains punitive and unfair, both offshore and onshore – you can help end the cruelty. Join the Walk for Justice for Refugees on Palm Sunday. Share this event on Facebook The walk will be from the State Library to Birrarung Marr. Speakers and music TBA.

Together we call for A FAIR GO for REFUGEES and PEOPLE SEEKING ASYLUM.

Our government needs to:

  • End offshore processing, mandatory detention, and deportations to danger
  • Give refugees permanent protection visas
  • End unfair practices in processing refugee claims, and restore the right to appeal
  • Give family reunion rights
Restore truth and transparency in the public discourse
  • Abide by the UN Refugee Convention

Stop demonising vulnerable people – stop the calculated cruelty. We can give them HOPE and FREEDOM.
