We'll meet on the corner of Rokeby Road and Heytesbury Road, Subiaco and then march to the Office of The Hon Julie Bishop MP.

Malcolm Turnbull and the education minister Simon Birmingham have confirmed their commitment to continued attacks on higher education.

The government has stated it will pursue fee deregulation of "flagship courses" to be decided by individual universities, which would be able to set the cost of these courses. Students could see fees of over $100 000 for a bachelor degree.

Universities are also sure to see further cuts to funding, with both the Liberal and Labor party stating plans throughout their election campaigns for university funding cuts of $2 billion and $3.7 billion respectively. Lowering of the HECS repayment threshold also has bipartisan support, along with further attacks on student welfare.

University administrations themselves at a number of NSW universities have pushed restructures which will result in course and staff cuts.

Students have fought back against these attacks for years now, successfully defeating the last three times the Liberal government has attempted to push it. Let's keep the fight going!
