Thai democracy activists took to the streets on October 17 to express their anger at the violent police attack on a peaceful mass democracy protest in Bangkok the previous night.

The Australian Alliance for Thai Democracy is calling on the Coalition government to:

  • Publicly condemn the Thai government for its human rights violations;
  • Sanction the Thai government until democracy is restored; and
  • Cease all military cooperation with Thailand until all state violence against its citizens has ended.
