TAFE Too Good To Lose in Port Adelaide

TAFE: Too Good to Lose in South Australia
Saturday, April 6, 2019 - 12:00

TAFE Too Good To Lose in SA stand in solidarity with the Public services Association (PSA) rally this Saturday 6th April at 12pm in Port Adelaide. We say NO to the TAFE cuts and NO to the closing of any more campuses. We have already seen far too many closures across the State and now Port Adelaide campus among others is being closed. We say NO MORE! We say hands off our public TAFE!

A message from the PSA
The Government’s savage State Budget last year included significant cuts to services and jobs and privatisations. This included the closure of Port Adelaide TAFE Campus. Removing this important community asset at a time when the area will require a greater need for skills and qualifications defies logic. Port Adelaide TAFE provides a first step into further education for young people, women, Aboriginal peoples, and people who have never studied before. It has links with local high schools and huge potential to link with industry development on the Le Fevre Peninsula. It also has a childcare centre that is available for students as well as the local community.
