Dodie McGuinness, a national executive member of Sinn Féin and a member of the Six County executive of Sinn Féin for six years, will be touring the eastern states from November 8-23. A native of Derry, McGuinness is has been active in the republican movement since 1972. In 1985 she was elected to Derry City council and served two terms until 1993. McGuinness will be speaking about the disarmament process, and the many other issues affecting the peace process and Irish people. The tour is being organised by Australian Aid for Ireland.
