This will be a peaceful protest in the Civic gardens next to the Public Library from 11- 2 Saturday 17th May
Purpose is to highlight the Policy of indefinite mandatory off-shore detention of Asylum Seekers by recent Australian governments.
The physical focus of the protest site will be a 1 metre cube cage symbolising the wire fences behind which children, adolescents and adult asylum seekers are imprisoned on Nauru and Manus Island.
