The fate of the tampon tax will be decided this month! Every treasurer in Australia is meeting to decide whether to scrap the tax but if just one treasurer votes no, this unfair tax will stay. Menstruating Australians pay an extra 10% extra in tax every time they get their period. That's because tampons, pads and menstrual cups aren't considered 'essential health goods' (unlike condoms, lubricants and sunscreen). 2pm. 1 Treasury Place, City.
