Rally for Solar Thermal in Port Augusta

Kaurna Yerta/Adelaide

Why

When: Sunday 30th April, 12:30pm
Where: Parliament House, North Tce, Adelaide

Join us to call on Premier Weatherill to make solar thermal in Port Augusta happen.

South Australia's energy system is at a crossroads and the whole world is watching, even Elon Musk is tweeting about it!

After 5 years of community campaigning Premier Weatherill will decide by June if his State Government will back building solar thermal with storage in Port Augusta as part of his energy plan. The State Government is deciding whether to buy its power from a new solar thermal plant or ANOTHER new gas power station. This is our moment to make our voices count!

Building solar thermal with storage in Port Augusta will create new jobs, reduce climate pollution, energy security with on-demand renewables and create a new industry for South Australia with manufacturing potential.

Over the last few months people around SA have voted at www.repowerportaugusta.org/vote to have their say on whether the government should back solar thermal or new gas.

Join us at Parliament House on Sunday April 30 at 1230pm to deliver our vote to parliament and to back the Port Augusta community's call for#solar4ptaugusta!
