7th International Memorial Day for Japanese Military “Comfort Women”
The International Memorial Day for “Comfort Women” was announced by victims and activists during the 11th Asian Solidarity Conference on Resolution of the Japanese Military Sexual slavery issue held in 2012. To commemorate the courage of late Kim Hak -Soon who made the first public testimony as the Japanese military sexual slavery victim and to restore dignity and human rights of the victims, the International Memorial Day is observed every August 14th.
