BRISBANE — A rally will be held at Roma Street Forum on June 7 at 11am to call on voters in the May 13 state election to put One Nation last.

The rally was called from a meeting on May 29 initiated by the Queensland Greens and attended by representatives of ANTaR, the Coalition for Gun Control, the Democratic Socialists, 4ZZZ community radio, the lesbian and gay community, Grass Roots Resource Centre, Queensland Asian Business Weekly, the International Socialists and the Community and Public Sector Union. The rally has also been endorsed by the QUT student guild, ACTU (Qld), Griffith University student council, AIDS Council, Prisoners' Legal Service, Wildlife Preservation Society and the Centre for Multicultural Pastoral Care.

Speakers at the rally will include representatives from the maritime union; the Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, Chinese and Vietnamese communities; the ALP, Greens, and Democratic Socialists; the Prisoner's Action Group; 4ZZZ; as well as young people, lesbians and gays and advocates of gun control.

The meeting also agreed to place an advertisement in Brisbane's Courier-Mail in the days leading up to the rally.
