Radical philosophy conference

US organisers have issued a call for papers for the Radical Philosophy Association's Second National/International conference, to be held November 14-17 at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. The theme of the conference is "Globalisation from Below" to tackle the problem of social change. Topics include the social movements, modernisation, feminism, civil society, global capitalism, the rise of the right, nationalism, racism, the global economy, sexuality in a global context, radical perspectives on population, migration, the Coca Cola culture and alternatives to privatisation. Papers or proposals for papers may be sent (in English and with six copies) to Professor Alison Jaggar, Department of Philosophy, Box 232, University of Colorado, Boulder, CO 80309-0232, USA.
