This seminar will discuss policy and how the failure of Australian governments has dishonoured Aboriginal people, they will also look at how white Australians can advance Aboriginal rights by reforming the legal system. Speakers: Chris Sarra, Educator & recipient of the Queensland Australian of the Year Award in 2010 & activist for Indigenous education across Australia; Andrew Boe Lawyer, who represented the Palm Island community and Cameron Doomadgee’s family in the death in custody case that has been documented in Chloe Hooper’s book, 'The Tall Man'. 6pm.
