Hear from small-scale farmers from South Africa, sharing their experiences around food security and how we can tackle the root problems behind our current global food system. This is a complex issue, intertwined with climate change, land rights, food wastage, trade and environmental sustainability, and increasingly we see that from each of our different organisations, we all have a role to play. The forum will also be the launch of Oxfam’s ‘Land is Life: South Africa’ photographic exhibition featuring images from renowned photographer Matthew Willman. Speakers: Colette Solomon (Deputy Director of Women on Farms Project), Gertruida Baartman (Chair of the Agridynamic Co-Operative) & Andrew Hewett (Oxfam Executive Director). 6pm. Supper Room, Melbourne Town Hall, 90-120 Swanston St, City.
