The event intends to raise cash to legally defend known Islamophobes - Q Society of Australia member Kirralie Smith and Debbie Robinson. They have been charged with defamation by Mr Mohamed El-Mouehly (Halal Certification Authority Pty Ltd) for their role in whipping up a racist scare campaign against Halal food.

The Q Society: focuses on anti-Islam. Its political arm is the Australian Liberty Alliance. ALA’s electoral platform is more explicit about Q Society’s broader agenda: Zionist, opposes marriage equality and believes in the “natural family,” opposes abortion after the 1st trimester and lowering child benefit after 3rd child (“Giving birth should not be considered a substitute for income.”), opposes “special” treatment (ie of First Nations), is anti-union (“Excessive union behaviour that leads to increased labour cost and sends jobs overseas must be banned.”) etc. Is part of the international Stop the Islamisation of Nations (which has ties with the English Defence League and most likely other fascist organizations).
