More than 250 people disrupted the Brisbane city centre as part of Extinction Rebellion's "Defy Disaster" action on December 10.

Police tried to prevent the protesters from marching on the road and arrested a number of people.

A small victory was obtained, however, when activists successfully dropped a banner over the road from a tree.
