The presence of strong contingents of Latin American feminists was a feature of a number of the International Women's Day protests held in Australia from March 5-7.

The contingents performed "The rapist is you", a protest against feminicide that was first sung at protests in Chile and has since gone viral internationally.

The rallies were also attended by various trade unions and community groups.

Speakers took up issues of Indigenous rights, domestic violence, equal pay and climate justice.
