Photos: Protest against the Adani Carmichael coalmine approval

Activists rallied in Melbourne to protest the approval of a construction camp and rail line for the Adani Carmichael coalmine on December 5.

The federal government is also proposing loaning $1 billion to Adani for the project.

If the mine is built it will be Australia’s largest coalmine, exporting 60 million tonnes of coal from the Great Barrier Reef.
