Trade unionists from the Transport Workers Union, the National Tertiary Education Union and the Maritime Union of Australia joined Occupy Sydney activists in a protest on November 22 outside Angel Place Recital Hall, where the union-bashing CEO of Qantas Alan Joyce was addressing a forum.

Joyce was a speaker in one of the University of NSW’s “Meet the CEO” lecture series. Joyce recently locked out Qantas workers, shutting down Australia's national airline. He gave himself a a $2 million salary increase, bringing his salary package to $5 million while refusing workers cost of living adjustments and job security.
