Perth North – XRWA Welcome & climate science talk

Saturday, February 1, 2020 - 14:00 to 17:00

Location: Woodville Reserve Pavilion (Namur St North Perth)

Please join us for our Perth North meetings – every Saturday afternoon at Woodville Reserve Pavilion (Namur St North Perth) between 2-5pm.

Our weekly meetings give people an opportunity to hear what XR is all about, meet other people who are part of XR or are thinking of becoming part of it, hear about what events are coming up, learn how you can become part of the movement in so many different ways, learn and share all sorts of information and skills related building an effective movement, share your feelings about the climate emergency (if you wish to), have fun and get a sense of belonging and hope from knowing you’re not facing the crisis alone and can do something positive and powerful about it with others.

This week one of our members, a scientist, will also be presenting a talk on the most up-to-date climate science. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about the science behind why we’re doing what we’re doing as both individuals and an organisation.

Everyone is welcome, including children. We have people who are ready, willing and able to play with/supervise your children if you’re comfortable with that.

Teas and coffees will be available. a gold coin donation would be appreciated to cover our costs for the venue etc.

Please comment below to tell us if you’re bringing children and if you have any physical needs we may be able to assist with, or if you prefer you can email us at xrwa_nor@protonmail.com. Unfortunately the venue is not wheel chair accessible, please let us know if this affects you. We are working on getting a ramp put in place or moving to a wheel chair accessible venue in the future.
